We Built WiseUpIA Because We Were Tired of Spreadsheet Chaos

Back in early 2023, three finance professionals sat in a coffee shop arguing about expense reports. Again.

One of us had just spent six hours tracking down missing receipts. Another was rebuilding a corrupted spreadsheet for the third time that month. The third was explaining to yet another client why their expense data didn't match across different systems.

We looked at each other and realized something obvious: if we were struggling with this, every business owner in Vietnam probably was too. The tools available either cost too much, required a PhD in accounting software, or simply didn't work the way actual businesses operate.

So we started building something different. Not a fancy enterprise system. Not another complicated platform. Just a straightforward way to track expenses that actually makes sense.

How We Got Here

Building expense management software turned out to be harder than we thought. But also more rewarding.

2023

The Beginning

Started with five beta clients who were brave enough to test our half-finished system. They gave us brutally honest feedback. We rebuilt everything twice.

2024

Finding Our Rhythm

Launched officially in March. Spent the rest of the year listening to what businesses actually needed rather than what we thought they wanted. Added receipt scanning because everyone asked for it.

2025

Growing With Clients

Now working with over 200 businesses across Vietnam. Still learning something new every week about how different companies handle their finances.

Her Story

Linh joined us in April 2023 after spending five years building banking software. She got tired of working on systems that nobody understood and wanted to create something that felt more human.

She's the one who insisted we add the bulk import feature that everyone now loves. She's also the one who catches bugs before they become disasters. When something breaks at 2am, she's usually already fixing it before we even notice.

What She Actually Does

Linh handles everything from server infrastructure to the interface you see every day. She writes the code that processes your receipts, organizes your expense categories, and generates those reports you send to your accountant.

She also answers technical support questions, which means she probably knows your expense patterns better than you do. Don't worry, she's good at keeping secrets.
